Mark Andrew Faulkner, who prefers to go by Andrew, is an experienced Violin & Viola teacher at muse mantra in Spring, TX. A lifelong musician, he brings more than 45 years of performance experience and 32 years of music education experience to his students.
Andrew earned his degree in Music Education from Sam Houston State University and completed graduate coursework toward a Master of Music Education at Lamar University. He also holds Level One Kodály and Orff certifications through the Aldine ISD Music Education Department.
Throughout his teaching career, Andrew worked with students from kindergarten through young adulthood in the Port Arthur, Conroe, and Aldine independent school districts. His experience includes string orchestras, choirs, and elementary instrumental ensembles. He specializes in violin and viola lessons and can also teach beginning bass and cello students. In recognition of his dedication to education, Andrew was selected as a semifinalist for Aldine ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year for the 2014–2015 school year.
As a professional musician, Andrew is primarily a violist and is a founding member of the Conroe Symphony Orchestra, where he has performed throughout the orchestra’s history. His other musical interests include violin, vocal music, folk instruments, and composing music for young musicians.
Andrew’s student-centered teaching style focuses on building strong technical and musical foundations while helping each student develop confidence and reach their full potential. His goal is to encourage self-expression, musical growth, and a lifelong enjoyment of music.
